
RI District 3790 leads relief efforts for flood-hit families in Ilocos Sur
The Rotaract Clubs of Rotary International District 3790, in collaboration with Pinctada and Rotaract Club of Magsingal North Ilocos Sur led relief distribution to families affected by floods from typhoon Carina on August 10, 2024.

The Rotaract Clubs of Rotary International District 3790, in collaboration with Pinctada and Rotaract Club of Magsingal North Ilocos Sur led relief distribution to families affected by floods from typhoon Carina on August 10.
The relief operation, which took place in Barangay San Julian Norte, Vigan City, provided essential supplies to 63 families who have been severely impacted by the typhoon.
Punong Barangay Hipolito Palo of Barangay San Julian Norte expressed his gratitude for the assistance.
“It’s heartwarming to see our community come together in times of need,” Hipolito stated.
Randell Balasan, the District Community Service Director, also shared his thoughts on the relief efforts, saying “Our goal is to make a positive impact and contribute to the well-being of our fellow citizens. This is just one of the many initiatives we have planned.”
The relief packs distributed included rice, food items, and laundry kits tto help the families alleviate the burden from the typhoon.
“We are grateful for the cooperation and passion the Rotaract Clubs have exhibited throughout the partnership,” said Samantha Tan, one of the Pinctada founders.
The operation underscored the importance of collaboration among vrious organizations in addressing the challenges posed by natural disasters.
