In the aftermath of Typhoon Carina, the Rotaract Clubs of Rotary International District 3790 has come together in a relief operation in Nagsimbaanan, Bacnotan, La Union on August 4.
The relief operation, spearheaded by Pinctada, coalition of compassionate volunteers, dedicated organizations, and generous donors through the Rotaract Club of Saint Louis College, has made a significant impact on the lives of those affected by the typhoon.
“In this time of calamity, we unite to provide support and magic to help our community. Witnessing the flood areas with my team, we are committed to further help the community,” said Rhovie Cien Jacildone, President of Rotaract Club of Saint Louis College.
Over the past few weeks, the relief team has worked tirelessly to provide essential support to the typhoon victims.
The operation focused on distributing vital food supplies such as rice, canned goods, coffee, and instant noodles to 30 affected families, demonstrating the resilience and unity of the human spirit in times of crisis.
This project stands as a testament to the power of collective effort and the magic of Rotary. It is a reminder that even in the darkest times, the light of human kindness and cooperation can guide the way.
